A study commissioned by City Hall has found that air pollution is attributed to more than 400 death in
London in 2019. The study also found that 99% of London exceeds air pollution limits set by the
World Health Organisation (WHO). The research highlighted that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic
(BAME) communities in London were exposed to the highest levels of air pollution. There have been
improvements in air quality in London over the recent years, but the researchers have highlighted that
the levels of air pollution are still too high.
